The Rules
Keith vs Mike. Loser buys the belt. Up to 6 points per shared league.
Scoring, per league
- 1 point for the higher regular-season finish. Ties broken by total points scored.
- 2 points for advancing further in the playoffs. If you BOTH miss the playoffs, nobody gets it.
- 3 points for winning the league. It stacks — a championship is worth all 6.
- Season tiebreaker: total points scored across every shared league.
- Head-to-head meetings are worth zero points and unlimited trash talk.
Guillotine leagues
Chopped formats have no records and no playoff bracket, so they score differently. The site detects them automatically from Sleeper's league type — nothing to configure.
- 2 points for outlasting the other guy. Elimination is permanent, so this locks the moment one of you is chopped.
- 3 points for winning the league outright — being the last team standing.
- No regular-season point: there are no records to compare. Max 5 per guillotine league.
- Chopped in the same week? Decided on total points scored.
How the site decides things
- Leagues are discovered automatically by intersecting both Sleeper accounts. Add a league together mid-season and it shows up on the next refresh; no config to edit.
- Regular-season order comes from Sleeper's own standings logic: record first, then total points scored — which is the tiebreak we agreed on anyway.
- Playoff finish is read from the winners bracket. Sleeper tags each match with the placement it decides, so a fifth-place consolation game never counts as “advancing.”
- Points marked Final are locked. Everything else can still move.
- If you both miss the playoffs in a league, the 2-point playoff category goes unclaimed — nobody gets it.
Changing the rules
Everything above is driven by lib/config.ts. Change a number there and every page, total, and recap updates together — which also means neither of you can quietly change it without it showing up in the commit history.
